The Foundation of an Electrified Home

Your electrical panel, ready for everything.

Solar, batteries, EV chargers, heat pumps — they all connect through your main panel. If yours is old, full, or undersized, we upgrade it safely, with permits and utility coordination handled end to end.

Why homes outgrow their panels.

Most Front Range homes were built with 100–150 amp panels sized for a gas-powered era. Add an EV charger, a heat pump, or solar with battery backup, and that old panel runs out of space and capacity fast. Some older panels are also known safety hazards that insurers flag.

More Capacity

A modern 200-amp panel gives your home the headroom for EV charging, heat pumps, induction cooking, and solar — all at once.

Safer by Design

We replace outdated and recalled panels (Zinsco, Federal Pacific, fuse boxes) with modern breakers, AFCI/GFCI protection, and clean labeling.

Tax Credits Apply

Panel upgrades done to enable solar, battery, or heat pump projects can qualify for a 30% federal tax credit — we'll tell you if yours does.

Planning solar or an EV charger? Doing the panel upgrade at the same time saves a second permit and a second visit.

Our panel upgrade process

A main panel upgrade touches your utility service, so it takes real coordination — we handle all of it.

01

Load Assessment

We evaluate your current panel, service size, and everything you plan to add — solar, EV, heat pump — to size the new panel right.

02

Permits & Utility

We pull the electrical permit and schedule the utility disconnect/reconnect so your outage window is as short as possible.

03

Upgrade Day

Our licensed electricians swap the panel, re-land every circuit, label everything clearly, and restore power — typically in one day.

04

Inspection & Sign-off

We coordinate the city or county inspection and hand you a clean, code-compliant panel with room to grow.

One panel. Every future project.

Upgrade once, correctly, and your home is ready for solar, batteries, EV charging, and heat pumps — without surprises later.

Do I need a panel upgrade for solar?

Not always — many panels can accept a solar backfeed breaker as-is, and sometimes a simple derate or a smart load controller avoids a full upgrade. We check your panel during the site visit and only recommend an upgrade when it's genuinely needed.

When it is needed, bundling it with your solar or battery install means one project, one schedule, and potential tax-credit eligibility for the panel work.

Is my old panel dangerous?

Certain legacy panels — Federal Pacific Stab-Lok and Zinsco in particular — have documented failure modes where breakers don't trip under fault. Insurers increasingly refuse or surcharge homes that still have them.

If you have one of these, replacement is a safety project first and an electrification project second. We'll give you a straight assessment either way.
